My name is Lou-Lou Swanek, I'm known to be a cartoonist, an activist, a lover of Nature, off the beaten path adventurer, and a fun-loving Nana-Lou.

I am a believer in good things. I grew up with many exquisitely creative siblings which brought so much vision and imagination to our lives. This was inherited from both our Mother and Father. We have been making cool things all our lives.
 

I was born in Toronto and have had the opportunity to travel the wide Canadian stretch, from the most Easterly point, Cape Spear Newfoundland, to where I now reside on the Westerly coast, beautiful Vancouver Island. I have raised four beautiful children. One has passed away which brings a sadness no parent should ever have to experience.

Hugahug® came to fruition one lonely pandemic day when I needed a hug, so I made one. I showed my children and they responded with "Mom, make more, people need these". Now here I am, selling hand-crafted love around the world with the help and support of Family and friends.

Every handcrafted hugahug® is thoughtful of everyone who receives it. 
The one-of-a-kind resembles the uniqueness of people.
I sit and sew and my mind wonders to the person who gave the last check on my Canadian Industrial Design patent. My thought is that they needed a hugahug® to hug that day.
